I have stitched for many years but found doing a City &
Guilds course in Embroidery opened up a whole new world. Although I tend to
favour more traditional textiles I enjoy exploring new techniques and products.
Recently I started an online sketchbook course, I’ve found it challenging but
hope it will have a positive influence on future work.
I am also a member of a local Patchwork group.

Stitching is more of an obsession than a passion for me!
Since completing City and Guilds a good few years ago, I have
experimented with various media and have enjoyed stitching on paper in
particular. In order to improve my design skills and art work I am
currently following an on line sketchbook course with the Linda and Laura
Kemshall, and I am sure this will influence my textiles in future. It’s
great being a member of Fimbria for the companionship and support we give and
get from each other.
